M2M Challange
This summer, members of the Irish Air Corps and associates raised thousands in aid of Lakelands Area Retreat and Cancer Centre (LARCC). As you know LARCC, based near Mullingar Co. Westmeath, provides essential support and care to recovering cancer patients. LARCC has a strong association with Comdt Frank Russell, a retired member of the Irish Air Corps who is himself a recovering cancer patient.
The funds were raised by a group of participants in a Mizen Head to Malin Head Walking / Cycling challenge (M2M2010). M2M2010 which started on the longest day of the year, Monday 21st June and finished on Friday 25th June 2010.

The Flora Mini Marathon was held again this year on Monday 7th June 2010. A bus ran from LARCC to Dublin City with our ladies and a great day was had by all. Sincere thanks to all the ladies who completed the marathon and in so doing rasied much needed funds for LARCC.
If anyone would like to join our team next year and help raise funds we can be contacted by filling in your details on the Enquiry Form on this website, or by emailing us at info@larcc.ie, by phone 044 93 71971 or by calling in to the Administration Office.
We will, as usual, supply sponsorship cards and t-shirts for all our participants. For a hassle free trip to Dublin, a coach will travel from the Centre on the day. Entry forms will be made available in the Evening Herald closer to the date or you can enter on line at www.florawomensminimarathon.ie.
As soon as we have conformation of next year's date we will post it on the web-site.
